A New Toy 02/07/2012
This is a unique look at one of my new toys. It's a Lubitel 166B, a vintage Russian made twin lens reflex camera. Add Comment Spooky Stairs 01/31/2012

Home Sweet Home, Nashville 11/05/2011
Here is a quick glance around the crappy apartment complex in Nashville where we currently reside. It's old, it's rundown, the property managers are questionable, the communication around here is laughable, and the maintenance guys remind me of the fumbling duo one would read about in Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. On the flip-side however, these dated elements of urban sprawl offer unique photo opportunities to resident shutter-bugs much like myself. Here's an anecdotal account that may offer some perspective to all of you, my beloved readers. A dear old high-school friend of mine was passing through town with his family a couple of months back. They came by for a visit, and I cooked them brunch. It was Eggs Sardou in fact. As we dined, their precious little five-year-old asked inquisitively, "Is this a hotel?" After an awkward pause, and a collection of brief, but slightly uncomfortable glances among the adults; I spoke up, putting my best foot forward, and addressed the young one's honest query. "Not exactly, but it's kinda like a hotel. It's just not as nice, and we have to clean it ourselves." "Oh . . ." and with that she went back to her breakfast, clearly pondering her next question. Evidently, little Mary hasn't spent much time visiting folks in "apartment homes" . . . talk about a reality check. Lines 10/26/2011

Here is some landscape photography I did for class. It was an easy assignment. I just took the camera fishing. Light Painting 10/26/2011
